Valmet and some parts of Rauma were part of Metso until; 2013. Valmet machines are today stand alone specialist in Paer and pulp industries.
Valmet tractors are no longer being manufactured. The manufacture of forest machines has on the other hand continued but by the company Komatsu Forest, owned by the Japanese company Komatsu.
Komatsu Forest has its headquarters in Umeå, Sweden where one of two production factories is located. The second one is in Shawano, Wisconsin, USA. Forwarders, harvesters and aggregates for harvester are manufactured in the two factories.
