Mascus takes steps towards internationalisation

In April, Mascus participated in the Intermat trade fair, the year’s key international exhibition for the construction and building materials industry. Our stand included the World’s Strongest Woman 2005, Aneta Florczyk, who offered exhibition visitors the opportunity to challenge her in trials of strength. The Mascus stand enjoyed a wonderful atmosphere!

Europe’s key event of the year in the construction industry, Intermat 2006, has traditionally been organised in the Paris Nord Villepinte exhibition area, and was held this year from 24th to 29th April 2006. The exhibition area totalled 375,000m2 plus two outdoor demonstration areas of more than 30,000m2 where 15 companies demonstrated their new equipment in genuine working conditions. Some 1,400 exhibitors from 42 countries and over 200,000 visitors from 160 countries attended. Mascus expects that this huge number of visitor nationalities will generate a significant number of additional contacts from customers abroad.

Mascus marketplace participated in the Intermat trade fair for the first time, with a stand which stood out due to the presence of the World’s Strongest Woman 2005, Aneta Florczyk, who challenged visitors to playful trials of strength – the farmer’s walk, yoke race, log lift and deadlift. Many visitors also wanted to pose with Aneta and have a picture taken. Click the links below to see the pictures:

Mascus’ participation in the Intermat trade fair formed part of its long-term internationalisation project. A month ago, Mascus published two new licence agreements with Polish media house Wydawnictwo Steinborn Sp.J. and with Biterra Klemen Bizjak s.p in Slovenia. Mascus now has offices in Finland, Sweden, the UK, Norway, Poland and Slovenia. Its expansion into Europe continues and new licence agreements can be expected before the end of the year.
