Constant improvements and growth for Mascus

Mascus, worldwide premium media for heavy machinery and transportation vehicles continues to grow

New products, new offices

Despite its challenges, the year 2009 has been a successful one for Mascus. For the first three quarters of 2009, the worldwide premium media for heavy machinery and transportation vehicles has successfully added a new product to its portfolio: a heavy machinery directory, Mascus Locator (www.mascus.co.uk/locator). In addition, Mascus has opened new offices in Europe (in France and Slovakia) and has expanded beyond Europe in South Africa, Canada, Australia and New Zealand.

"I have been glad to observe our positive development, despite the economic situation. Our concept has proved to be successful in every country in Europe, Africa, North America and Australia, and our partners around the globe have witnessed it too. And we must not forget that Mascus consists of a hard-working, highly motivated and professional team. I am not surprised that we are growing all the time, with such a team behind me," says Mascus Managing Director, Fredrik Larsson.

More customers

Mascus reports that it has reached more customers than ever. As from last month, the used machinery marketplace offers more than 85,000 pieces of used equipment from over 2,500 dealers from all over the world. Furthermore, the entries of companies involved in the heavy machinery business in the Mascus directory amount to a total of 4,400 companies.

"There is no mystery behind this growth in our customer base," says Mascus Sales Director Rickard Petersson. "Mascus is becoming more and more popular among buyers of heavy used equipment in Eastern Europe, the Middle East and the developing countries in Africa and Asia. And our customers simply sell more and more machines via Mascus. Simple!" he adds.

More buyers and site visitors

More used machines/trucks adverts and more listed companies in Mascus Locator directory have brought more buyers to Mascus’s site. In August, Mascus reached a new all time high number of visitors to the page from all over Europe and many new markets and countries in the Middle East, Asia, Africa, Australia and North America.

"This is a result of our mutual efforts; our customer base is growing, more adverts for used machinery/trucks, more local domains and languages on Mascus. It is a self-evident connection," says Mascus Marketing/Internationalization Director, Tomasz Odrobinski.

As a part of its future development, Mascus plans to include more tools for Mascus used marketplace buyers and directory visitors, to ease and facilitate their search, to increase cooperation with other media, sites and fairs, and to add more partnerships.
